Digital Beach Software develops software including apps and websites.

This Digital Beach Software LLC (DBS) privacy policy describes the privacy practices for the StockHop iOS Application and its associated services published in the Apple App Store.  By using StockHop, you are agreeing to this Privacy Policy. 

Information Collection and Use

First, we at DBS are committed to protecting your privacy.  For a better experience, while using StockHop, we may require you to provide us with certain information. However, we do not ask for or knowingly collect personally identifiable information. Any information provided by you is used to understand your needs and provide a better service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Security

We value the trust you place in us when using StockHop, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Log Data

Whenever you use StockHop, we may collect usage and error data. This Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device type, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.  None of this information contains any Personally Identifiable Data.

Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

None of these third parties have direct access to any of the data that we collect.

StockHop may contain links to other websites and apps of interest. We cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide while visiting such places. Such websites and apps are not governed by this privacy statement.

Children’s Privacy

We do not ask for or knowingly collect personally identifiable information. In the event that we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to perform the necessary actions.

What personal data we collect on the website and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
